Estee Lauder Sensuous

Estée Lauder Sensuous is where you want to head if you're looking for a mainstream perfume that isn't a tower of power flower or a Carmen Miranda fruit hat of a scent. It's a pretty darn decent lily and sandalwood blend that conveys a certainly womanly ease akin to Bonnie Cashin's classic sportswear.

Sensuous goes from day to night, from spring to winter. Like me, it's always ready for a martini.
Sensuous is available from EsteeLauder.com, Amazon.com, FragranceNet.com, Perfume.com and FragranceX.com, starting at appx $32 for 30ml

  1. Well that is going on the sniff list.

The bottle speaks to me. It calls me. But it tells me to steer clear of Beautiful because that smells like ass on wheels.

  2. At least it worths a try... not being a Carmen Miranda hat is a good sign these days:) On a completely different subject, Katie, have you already tried L'Artisan Traversee du Bosphore? I'm completely crazy about it, sampled during the weekend, just got a FB, and would love to hear your opinion on it:)

    Hugs,

    S.

  3. Oooh, I love martinis too. But just the classics (no Hershey Bar Appletinis thanks)!

  4. I should check this out. Estee Lauder makes good stuff all around (I wear Youth Dew, Cinnabar, Beyond Paradise, etc.)

Side note: Katie - I just found out that Estee Lauder now owns the Jo Malone line, and Jo is coming out with a new line of her own entitled Jo Loves. Have you heard any inside baseball about when it's going to be released?

As far as martinis - PASS. I'm a whiskey man through and through. Gimme a Sazerac, a Vieux Carre or a slug, neat thanks.

  5. I own this one! - I like the way it manages to be sweet, yet cool and crisp at the same time.

I was also pleasantly surprised by Sensuous Noir, though it got fairly mixed reviews.

  6. Maggie -- Sounds like the Sensuous bottle is giving you some good advice. What's it telling you about the stock market?

Stefush -- I'm so intrigued by your fragrance range! And whiskey is the perfume of booze, anyway.

Sabrina -- I do need to examine that nutty (quite literally) L'Artisan Bosphore deal.

Olfacta -- sweet martinis are for kids and unserious drinkers.
