Hey Ayoon Al Maha, you're a 21 century phenomena.
ReplyDeleteClever you - you knew the name of the Amouage attar I was trying to remember! The English translation "Fawn's Eyes" is the only thing that sticks in my mind.
DeleteChanged mind, you're a 21 century pheromonon
ReplyDeleteShucks!
DeleteBlack Afgano smells like skunk??? I get rave remarks all the time wearing it! Of course you surprised me with you answer to my question. Now on to Marika question, she asked it because she reviewed it for us one time. Her reaction was classic! If you have seen Vicar of Dibley and remember Jim from it and his No,No,No,NO... Then you get her reaction to it! I do have one more question. Have you gotten a chance to try the new attars by Amouage?
ReplyDeleteSmells like far, far away skunk. That rooty, peaty, burnt distant skunk smell.
DeleteI haven't seen new Amouage attars - Selfridges has the same ol' ones. Maybe I should get over to the Amouage flagship in Knightsbridge...
That was so much FUN! And because you posted this interview I know have the great pleasure of discovering the Fragrance Bros. So thank you for that. Now on to a more pressing and very personal question. I hope you won't find it too forward..........Is that a leg lamp in the "A Christmas Story" tradition by your window? I love the mix of classic and whimsical in the room. A whimsical classic just like you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lanier. I can't take credit for the (horse) leg lamp, nor the elegance of my surroundings here, because it' s the home of my friend. It's a snapshot of her exquisite taste.
DeleteNow, that was awesome!! How adorable are these guys? Love their enthusiasm and respectful adoration of our Katie...Too fun..wondering where these guys are from? Thanks so much for this- truly got the positive energy flowing this Monday Morn!!
ReplyDeleteThese percolating fellows hail from Alabama. You can't beat positive energy - served with a heapin' helpin' of adoration.
DeleteDang....would LOVE to smell the Fahrenheit lady doppleganger!
ReplyDeleteBring back Ultima II Sheer Scent!
DeleteThat was 38 really fun minutes :) I enjoyed it so much. I always like watching you, and the bros were fab - now subscribed to them as well :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your stamina and smiles!
DeleteKatie, how about a "ten perfumes you must smell" video for novice perfumistas- ten perfumes that would give someone newish to perfume a sense of what is best across the board and also give them an idea of the full range of perfumery types available- gourmand, florals, orientals, greens, colognes, both masculine and feminine etc. Maybe with the suggestion that commenters give their list of ten perfumes anyone new to perfumery should smell, beneath. Maybe a samples company could do a "Katie Puckrik's ten scents you must smell" pack to go along with it, too.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea, but oh what a devil of job to boil the options down to ten. Hence the cleverness of inviting others to list their ten faves. Thanks for the smart suggestion.
