L'Artisan Parfumeur Dzing!

...sexy, in a hot farmhand kind of way.

“Your skin, but better” is a phrase that crops up when fumeheads discuss the warm and sensual fragrances that enhance skin’s natural qualities. Those qualities are subtle modulations between sweet, salty, musky -- and even a bit yeasty.

The “your skin, but better” category does not include, for example, bombastic florals, tween-friendly juicebox frags, and olfactory essays on photocopier ink that transform your personal odor into conceptual art.

But there’s a subcategory of warm and sensual scents -- leather -- that demands a VIP section in the “your skin, but better” club. That's where L'Artisan Parfumeur Dzing! comes in.

Wearing Dzing! plays tricks on my mind. As I register the lightly sweet, creamy leather wafting up softly from my body, I don’t think, “Dig me -- I’m wearing leather perfume!” Rather, I simply assume that this is how my skin naturally smells. Familiar, comforting, and just plain good.

But that’s crazy, because Dzing! supposedly has stuff in it like iris and toffee, and some people think it smells like cardboard. Why would I unquestioningly accept that cardboard toffee is a dead ringer for my skin?

But that’s the magic of Dzing! Let’s just say it’s “your skin, but different”.

L'Artisan Parfumeur Dzing! is available from Amazon.com, ArtisanParfumeur.us, and LuckyScent.com, starting at $135 for 100ml.

  1. I can't believe it's taken me this long to try Dzing- but just got it in a sample form-and kinda loving it! I totally get Iris in the beginning...but no cardboard...at any point though I am ready for it should it appear.I think it's making me hungry, but I think it is an outstanding concoction of notes which I would have NEVER thought I would like together- but I do!!DZING!
