Taking smell from the tiny screen all the way to the small screen.



You may have heard that the Oprah Winfrey Network is running a contest for a lucky winner to get their own show on the network. Yeah, I didn't either -- until my sister Jo clued me in and told me to get the lead out.

Obediently (it's always better if I'm obedient to my sister, or so she tells me), I've put together a "Smell Show" sizzle reel. I would be deeply grateful if you could click, watch, and vote (voting is now closed) for me here. Laudatory comments welcome. Politely interested comments will fly, too.

I'm calling my pitch The Smell Show, incorporating my fascination for perfume and broadening it out to all the ways our sense of smell adds texture and mystery to our lives.

In turn, The Smell Show is part of my grander plan to launch into full sensory mojo mode, exploring all of life's little luxuries including fashion, travel, food, and quirky pampering experiences. Basically, anything we do to replenish our spirit, inspire our creativity, and recharge our lust for life. And make us slightly more tolerable to be around.
